Thank You!

Clergy Comment

What a month! As I reflect upon all that has transpired at Mediator in April I can’t begin to describe the feeling of gratitude I have for each and every one of you. From simple meditative worship services to the cardinal welcoming of The Episcopal Church to our campus for Bishop Marble’s memorial service, you have handled this busy month with grace and poise.

The Men’s Group cleaned and moved four pallets of bricks, raised over $1,200 from the smoked turkey sales, and funded various projects across the church campus such as reframing our clergy photos, maintaining the playground, and painting the upstairs of the education building! The Mediator ECW also raised a staggering $1,200 through their mouthwatering bake sale to benefit Care Lodge. Through their the golf tournament, the EYC met their goal to provide full scholarships to every St. Paul and Mediator youth for the summer pilgrimage to Taizé! In worship, the Mediator Choir soared above and beyond their normal services providing expressive music for four Holy Week services plus Bishop Marble’s memorial. Our Worship Committee and Altar Guild gently guided your rookie rectorthrough the Episcopal Church’s most complex services of worship. Countless individuals helped ready our church by reorganizing and cleaning our parlor, nursery, EFM, and Sunday school rooms. The Gardening Crew with the help of our sexton Michael, trimmed, power washed, raked, planted across our campus to make our grounds pristine. The Bereavement Committee showed unparalleled hospitality not only to the Marble family but to the many others who drove or flew to our beautiful campus to celebrate the life and ministry of Chip. I can’t begin to tell you the countless compliments we have received from across the nation. Finally, in case you were wondering, our parish gathered seven times throughout April to dine and enjoy one another. Thank you to all who cooked, served, and cleaned for those delectable gatherings.

I know this list is not exhaustive, but this is the mark of a vital congregation, too many happenings to be able to list them all. I am so proud of you. I am blessed to be a member of this church that as one member said, “can accomplish ANYTHING.” I cannot wait to see what else we together will accomplish!
